Statement of the Alianza Martiana Coalition
The patriotic Emigration of the United States represented by the Alianza Martiana Coalition and
its member organizations: Jose Marti Cultural Association USA, Antonio Maceo Brigade,
FORNORM, the Bolivar Circle and the Alianza Martiana as an individual group are expressing
most energetic Statement of Principles in Defense of the Cuban Nation given the hardships our
country is enduring as a consequence of hurricane IAN which caused serious damage to the
national economy especially when it takes place under the absurd and criminal blockade
imposed by the US on Cuba.
We fully support the efforts of Puentes de Amor in its petition for funds, donations and sending
supplies and aid to for a prompt recovery.
We stand with the people of Cuba who are tirelessly working hard and fast to return to normalcy.
The battle lies in our recovery, it is NOT the time for complaints or laments.
We condemn all Ill intentioned violent demonstrations aimed at provoking disorders, creating
chaos and disobedience of law. We consider that the Biden administration should opt for
concrete aid in coordination with the Cuban government and organizations on the island.
Remittances must be reestablished to aid the Cubanfamily, Cuba must be removed from the list
of Countries that sponsor terrorism and the more than 240 measures imposed onCuba by the
Trump administration on Cuba must be reversed.
We believe protests that should be taking place and that we support are those against the
blockade imposed on Cuba by the US government.
OurCoalition calls for normal relations between both governments and its people,
YES to Solidarity, NO to the blockade.

Estimados hermanos y hermanas!
NEMO ve con gran preocupación que se han producido actos de protesta, en diversas partes del territorio nacional a raíz de las nuevas dificultades añadidas por el terrible huracán Ian. ¡NO NOS DEJEMOS MANIPULAR POR NUESTROS ENEMIGOS DE SIEMPRE, QUE HAN LANZADO UNA INCREIBLE OLEADA DE MENTIRAS Y FALSEDADES CONTRA CUBA Y SU GOBIERNO!
Quieren crear un terrible caos en la sociedad cubana, quieren aprovechar las durezas por las que pasa el pueblo, a causa principalmente del Bloqueo, ahora agravadas por accidentes terribles como lo ocurrido en el hotel Saratoga y en la terminal de super – tanqueros de la bahía de Matanzas; por desastres naturales como el terrible huracán Ian, por la acción deleznable de especuladores que tratan de hacerse ricos a costillas de pueblo humilde y trabajador. NEMO defiende el derecho a protestar, que es parte integral del Estado Socialista de Derecho que Cuba construye. Pero no confundir un derecho constitucional de nuestro pueblo, con permitir abiertas conspiraciones fomentadas desde el extranjero y por el lumpen local, contra ese propio pueblo y contra su vanguardia.
¡Cuba como siempre saldrá victoriosa, para defenderla levantemos unidos el escudo y la espada!
Dear brothers and sisters!
NEMO sees with great concern that there have been acts of protest in various parts of the national territory as a result of the new difficulties added by the terrible Hurricane Ian. LET US NOT ALLOW OURSELVES TO BE MANIPULATED BY OUR USUAL ENEMIES, WHO HAVE LAUNCHED AN INCREDIBLE WAVE OF LIES AND FALSEHOODS AGAINST CUBA AND ITS GOVERNMENT!
They want to create a terrible chaos in Cuban society, they want to take advantage of the harshness that the people go through, mainly because of the Blockade, now aggravated by terrible accidents such as what happened in the Saratoga hotel and in the super-tanker terminal of the Bay of Matanzas; by natural disasters such as the terrible hurricane Ian, y the despicable action of speculators who try to get rich at the expense of humble and hardworking people. NEMO defends the right to protest, which is an integral part of the Socialist Rule of Law that Cuba builds. But do not confuse a constitutional right of our people, with allowing open conspiracies fomented from abroad and by the local lumpen, against that own people and against their vanguard.
Cuba always will be victorious, let’s raise together the shield and the sword in its defense!
