¡Que Cuba Viva! Recaudación de Fondos y Evento Benéfico

Como ya saben, la administración Trump ha impuesto un nuevo y brutal bloqueo petrolero a Cuba. Washington busca crear un sufrimiento insoportable para el pueblo cubano con la esperanza de lograr finalmente su campaña de 67 años para derrocar al gobierno cubano.
En todo el mundo, existe indignación por estas medidas. Un avión cargado con ayuda médica de vital importancia y más de cien activistas antibloqueo de todo Estados Unidos formarán parte de un convoy internacional que se dirigirá a La Habana el 21 de marzo. Los activistas pasarán tres días aprendiendo sobre el daño causado por la última escalada de violencia de Estados Unidos, así como sobre lo que el pueblo cubano está haciendo para defender su país.
¡Varios activistas cubanoamericanos de Miami (y de otras ciudades) estarán en ese avión! Cuando regresen, intensificarán nuestros esfuerzos para dar voz y acción a los numerosos cubanos del sur de Florida que rechazan estas últimas sanciones y amenazas contra cualquier país que se oponga a la intimidación de Trump y Rubio.
Nuestra coalición está organizando una feria cultural y política para recaudar fondos y ayudar a estos cubanoamericanos a formar parte de este importante convoy. Los fondos recaudados que superen estas necesidades se destinarán a Global Health Partners para futuras campañas que organizarán para seguir enviando suministros médicos urgentes a Cuba (GHP es la organización que lideró la campaña de las jeringas y la de los marcapasos, que nuestra coalición apoyó activamente).

Quienes no puedan asistir en persona, pueden donar a esta noble causa. Una de las actividades, por ejemplo, será una subasta silenciosa. Los premios incluyen una pelota de béisbol firmada por el equipo cubano del Clásico Mundial de Béisbol/Olímpico de 2026. También habrá un magnífico libro de fotografías del reconocido fotógrafo cubano Alberto Korda, entre otros premios. ¡VIVA CUBA! Este domingo 15 de marzo, la Coalición de Miami para Poner Fin al Bloqueo de Cuba y organizaciones comunitarias aliadas organizan la recaudación de fondos «Que Cuba Viva».
De 4 p. m. a 9 p. m., venga a la Congregación Unitaria Universalista para disfrutar de buena comida, música y mesas de vendedores y organizaciones.
Todos los fondos recaudados serán donados para apoyar a los cubanoamericanos que viajan en delegaciones para llevar ayuda humanitaria a Cuba como parte del «Convoy Nuestra América», así como a la organización Global Health Partnership para cubrir las necesidades médicas de Cuba.
¡Expresamos nuestro más profundo agradecimiento a las organizaciones locales, proveedores, artistas y agrupaciones musicales que están dedicando su tiempo y recursos para apoyar esta causa de inmensa importancia!

Dear Friends,
As you may know, the Trump Administration has imposed a brutal new blockade of oil going to Cuba. Washington aims to create unbearable suffering for the people of Cuba in the hope of finally achieving its 67 year campaign to overthrow the Cuban government.
All around the world, there is outrage at these moves. A planeload of vitally needed medical aid and more than a hundred anti-blockade activists from around the United States will be part of an international convoy heading to Havana on March 21. The activists will spend three days learning about the damage being done by the latest escalation by the U.S. as well as what the people of Cuba are doing to defend their country.,
Several Cuban American activists from Miami (as well as other cities) will be on that plane! When they come back, they will deepen our efforts to give voice and action to the many Cubans here in South Florida who don’t like these latest sanctions and threats against any country that stands up to Trump and Rubio’s bullying.
Our coalition is organizing a cultural and political fair to raise funds to help these Cuban Americans be part of this important convoy. Any funds raised above those needs will go to Global Health Partners for future campaigns they will be organizing to keep sending urgently needed medical supplies to Cuba (GHP is the organization that led the syringes campaign and the pacemakers campaign that our coalition actively supported).

For those of you who may not be able to join us in person, you can still donate to this worthy cause. One part of the activities, for example, will be a silent auction. Prizes include a baseball signed by the 2026 World Baseball Classic/Olympic team from Cuba. There is also a gorgeous book of photographs by noted Cuban photographer Alberto Korda, and other prizes. ¡VIVA CUBA! This Sunday, March 15th the Miami Coalition to End the Blockade of Cuba and partnered community organizations are hosting the Let Cuba Live Fundraiser.
From 4 PM to 9 PM, come to the Unitarian Universalist Congregation to enjoy good food, music, and various vendors and orgs tabling.
All funds raised will be donated to support Cuban Americans going with delegations taking humanitarian aid to Cuba as part of the Nuestra América Convoy, and to Global Health Partnership towards medical needs of Cuba.
We extend the deepest thanks to the local orgs, vendors, artists, and musical acts who are giving their time and resources to supporting this immensely important cause!
